Comfort. It’s something we all need from God. As believers, we’re not immune to grief. In fact, at times life can be even more difficult for a Christian because of the intense trials and brokenness we encounter on the path of submission and service. Whatever you’re facing today, I encourage you not to despair. Your heavenly Father loves you and will comfort you in all your troubles; in fact, He is “the Father of mercies and God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We always have the gift of forgiveness through His Son and the presence of the Holy Spirit—who is called the “Comforter” (John 14:16 KJV)—to sustain us and give us hope. This month, ask God to soothe your sorrows as you pursue Him each day. You don’t need to suffer alone.
